The ACME Model 10 has T-1 steel construction, is powered by a fully enclosed 10 hp Lombardini® diesel engine, and is Talkie Tooter® radio controlled. The unit, featuring our patented skyline clamp with replaceable aluminum jaws, 8" skyline sheaves, and our patented hydraulic slack pulling system readily passes over intermediate supports during operation. The ACME Model 10 is a revolutionary step forward in slack pulling carriage technology. It has been designed with the logger and today's logging practices in mind. We have assembled our hydraulic slack pulling system into a package smaller than was ever before thought possible. At 1000 Lb., the ACME Model 10 is one of the the smallest and the lightest motorized slack pulling carriages available today, but do not let that fool you! Its hydraulic slack pulling system gives it unyielding performance despite its small size. In Fact, the light weight actually adds to the performance of the Model 10 . This carriage is powered by a 10 horsepower Lombardini® diesel engine which drives the exclusive ACME hydraulic slack pulling system. It is controlled by a Talkie Tooter® remote control radio system. It weighs only 1000 lb., and packs plenty of power to get the job done. The hydraulic slack pulling system has many advantages over mechanical systems. These include the carriage being more forgiving, user friendly, and easier on your dropline. Since the Model 10 is hydraulic, it is a more forgiving system than a mechanical system. For example if the yarder engineer gives fails to give slack the hydraulic system will go over a relief and the carriage will not "burnout" on your line, or stall the engine, or damage the carriage components. All this helps eliminate costly breakdowns. The hydraulic system can be easily changed to different spitter speeds and pulling power in a matter of a few minutes which makes it a very versatile carriage. This versatility allows the Model 10 help you and your crew be more productive by allowing the slack pulling speed and the line pull to be dialed in to meet the needs of each job, eliminating problems caused by too slow or too fast of dropline speeds. The slack spitting wheel is not constantly engaged and there is no gearbox as is the case with most other motorized slack pullers. The spitter wheel does not turn until after it is engaged with the skidline. This eliminates "burnout" on your expensive dropline and costly carriage repairs and down time. In fact, it is so easy on your dropline that we guarantee the Model 10 not to chew up, burn up, or smash your dropline. All of these features make the ACME Model 10 a clear choice over mechanical carriages both motorized and non-motorized. The ACME Model 10 hydraulic slack pulling carriage opens up a range of new possibilities in slack pulling carriage applications. At 1000 Lb. the model 10 can be utilized where other slack pullers are just too heavy. The exceptional light weight of the Model 10 adds to its performance by making it possible to reach farther with smaller skylines, and by offering greater payload capabilities which, in turn, means greater profits for you. The Model 10 is ideal for a show with marginal deflection. For those jobs with minimal lift, the Model 10 passes over intermediate supports smoother than any other carriage. These features, together with its hydraulic performance, make it a clear choice for the logger who is looking for a light weight, versatile carriage that is built to perform. We invite you to call today to find out for yourself how an ACME Model 10 motorized slack pulling carriage can help you increase your productivity and maximize your profits. We are sure that when you see the advantages you will agree that the ACME slack pulling carriages are the clear choice to meet the needs of today's logging requirements.
